New sticker badges for our science courses are here!

We've got exciting news! Following our previous sticker collection, we're now introducing a brand new series of badges to celebrate your child's progress in our science courses.

Here's how it works: as your child completes milestones in their course, we'll send them fun badge stickers in the mail every month. It's a rewarding way to celebrate their learning journey and achievements!

These aren’t just stickers; they are a badge of honor for all the science adventures your child has explored with us. Each badge is a colorful cheer for their hard work and curiosity.

Our friends at Sticker Mule are helping us make sure each badge sticker is top-notch, ready to be shown off on notebooks, laptops, or anywhere your young scientist wants to stick them.

Tappity Live Classes is here!

After testing with lots of kids and parents, we’re so excited to announce the launch of Tappity Live Classes—classes your kids control! Our first class debuts on Monday, December 14th 2020 at 2pm PT!

Every live class will contain fresh and fun science content full of engaging interactions. And with a new class every other day, they’ll be learning in record time!

What’s a Tappity Live Class?

Every Monday, our science host introduces a new topic to explore throughout the week. For our first week we’ll be covering the world of ancient Egypt technology! In true Tappity fashion, kids will be able to participate in each Live Class using a variety of new interactions while earning points when they participate!

Each class—four unique ones per week— is ~20 minutes long, and cover the weekly theme through a variety of learning methods:

• Mondays: Science Story Time / Topic Introduction

• Wednesdays: Drawing Activity

• Fridays: Science Trivia

• Sundays: Experiments / Crafts

How can my kids attend?

All of our classes stream at 2:00 PM Pacific Time except for the Sunday class, which airs at 8:00 AM Pacific Time. If your family’s not able to attend, our Live Classes will be accessible in the app after they've streamed!

All Tappity Live Classes will be accessible in the app after they've streamed! Better yet, even though they're pre-recorded, each session will remain interactive, so your child can participate as if they were watching it live.

How do I join a Tappity Live Class?

1. Install latest version of Tappity on your device (25.5.3+) -- Required

2. When it's time, open Tappity and tap on "Tappity Live" on the home screen (WiFi Required).

I don’t see Tappity Live Class in the app. What should I do?

Tappity Live Classes is only supported on iOS devices that are at least iOS 13.2+. If you do not see Tappity Live button on the homescreen, you can also tune in on our website: https://app.tappityapp.com/live (Account Required).

Will Tappity Live Classes be viewable later?

Yes! For families who can't attend the live event, we will be posting recordings of the live streams in Tappity shortly after.

Tappity Originals - Season 1 ✨

Completely redesigned from the ground up, Tappity Originals are immersive, cinematic, and story-driven science adventures where your child saves the future of science with Tappity's new cast of characters. In each episode, we've added new interactions, like swiping and 3-D models, so there's never a dull moment! Check out Episode 1 today!

Tappity Field Trips ✈️

Can't go outside? No problem. Tappity Field Trips are short bite-sized adventures led by Chip, the world's smartest potato, on the Tappity Transporter. Your child will explore new destinations, beautiful wildlife, and even go back in time to hear from famous scientists! Best of all, they'll literally be in the driver seat of Tappity Transporter.

Tappity Points 💯

As your child progresses through lessons, completes Live activities, and participates in Trivia, they'll earn Tappity Points in addition to badges. The more points the earn, the higher the level they'll achieve!

Tappity Stickers Are Coming!

To celebrate our cast of new characters and hours of new content, we've created Tappity stickers! They'll be available for purchase on our website or through achievements in the app at the end of December. Sticker designs will include Haley, Quentin, AngleBert, Chip, the President of Earth, and a host of science-themed objects. Best of all, you can combine stickers together to dress up the characters!

We have worked with Sticker Mule to produce our high-quality stickers. Beyond producing the best stickers possible they also provide tools like Trace that acts as a background eraser​ and automatically cuts out a character from the background to turn it into a sticker. We'll send out an email update when the stickers are available.

Congratulations to the 2020 Junior Science Fair winners!

Earlier this summer, we announced the first and biggest online science fair for kids. Today, we're incredibly excited to share the winners.

Our panel of judges reviewed over 300 incredible submissions--and it was no doubt, one of the toughest decisions they've ever had to make. In the end, three submissions were selected for their science, creativity, presentation, and enthusiasm: Adam from Sheffield, UK, Elena from Bakersfield, California, and Vivian from British Columbia, Canada. Congratulations!

Of course, we also want to thank the 100’s of kids and families around the world who participated in the science fair. Your curiosity is inspiring!

Tappity just got more personalized

We’re excited to announce that Tappity now supports profiles! One of our most requested feature, you can now individually track the progress of all your kids under a single account. This means as a child completes activities in Tappity, their progress will not interfere with the progress of their siblings or friend! Plus, you’ll have the ability to customize settings by profile, e.g. difficulty level & name and get a clearer picture of each child’s progress through our popular email updates. FAQ’s

How do I set up a Profile?

Update to version 26.1+ of Tappity on your device. Once you do, tap on the Menu button at the top left corner of the home screen, and tap on Child Profiles. Then, simply enter your child’s information and save it. Unfortunately, older versions of Tappity will not support this functionality.

How many profiles can I create?

At this time, you can create as many profiles as you’d like under a single account.

What happens to my child’s existing progress when I create a new profile?

Every time you create a new profile, your child gets a blank slate of Tappity. In other words, existing progress isn’t carried over to a new profile.

How do I know which profile is being used?

You can check which profile you’re playing Tappity in by tapping on Child Profiles in the Menu option. The active profile will be highlighted.

How do we switch between profiles?

Go to the Menu, and select on Child Profiles. From there, if you have more than one profile, you can tap on profile you want to play in. Once you’ve selected the profile, click on Done.

Do you have to pay more to add a profile?

No, this feature is available to anyone even if you do not have a subscription. Currently, you can create as many profiles under a single Tappity account.
