Build A Mini Rocket
Build your own mini-rocket at home and watch it fly!
Materials:
Alka-seltzer tablet (Original Effervescence)
Camera roll cannister
Cardboard
Crayons/markers/pens to decorate
Water
Get ready to blast off into fun with this DIY rocket experiment! Using just toilet paper rolls, cardboard, and alka-seltzer tablets, watch as your rocket launches into the sky with a fizz-tastic blast!
Create a fizzing rocket by filling a toilet paper roll with alka-seltzer tablets, adding cardboard wings and a nose cone, placing it on a flat surface, adding water, and watching it launch into the air with a fun and fizzy blast as the alka-seltzer reacts with the water to create carbon dioxide gas.
Encourage learning by having your child use our Science Journey printable to jot down observations and thoughts, and discuss provided discussion questions together. Happy launching!
